Listen as ESPN Reporter Erin Andrews, linebacker Courtney Upshaw and Alabama Student Government's Director of Communication Seth Morrow share their stories.

Miles Remains at LSU, Schad Remains Confusing

Les Miles will return as LSU's head coach next season.

Miles addressed the situation earlier today in Dallas at the AFCA coaches conference.

LSU athletic director Joe Alleva said about Miles, "We look forward to many years of LSU Football under his leadership."

ESPN's Joe Schad was once again the center of the college football reporting world. And once again his reporting left a lot to be desired by college football fans.

Schad reported earlier this week that LSU could possibly waive or lower Miles $1.25 million dollar buyout. He then would later say a source close to the situation said if the Michigan job was offered to Miles, he would take it.

WAFB reported Miles met with Michigan AD Dave Brandon Monday night. After "The Mad Hatter" said he was staying in Baton Rouge, Schad said Miles wouldn't comment if the Michigan job was ever offered to him. Schad tweeted soon after something I have yet to understand...

An LSU source claims Miles was offered Michigan; another person briefed on search said he was a "candidate not the candidate."

What in the name of Jacob Hester is he talking about here?

LSU will appeal Ridley's violation

Big news in the world of LSU football regarding their most productive offensive player. That and more in this edition of Tiger Talk...

LSU running back Stevan Ridley has been ruled academically ineligible for the Cotton Bowl.

Sports by Brooks questions Alabama's renovations of a high school's facilities in preparation for the Capital One Bowl.

ESPN's Diamond Leung says Nicholls State Anatoly Bose's path to Division I college basketball has been quite astonishing. Bose lead Nicholls to an upset victory over LSU earlier this season.

LSU men's basketball looks to end their losing streak versus North Texas tonight in the PMAC.

LSU women's basketball extends their winning streak to five games after a strong second half versus Prairie View A&M last night. My friend and colleague Matt Boudreaux of NBC 33 reporting.

LSU cornerback Patrick Peterson has swag, a lucrative professional football future and some serious speed. Peterson was phenominal for the Bayou Bengals this season.

But he now has some serious hardware to show for it.

Peterson was named the SEC Defensive and SEC Special Teams Player of the Year earlier this week. Tonight, he won the Jim Thorpe Award as the nation's best defensive back and also won the Chuck Bednarik Award for the nations best defensive player at the College Football Awards on ESPN.

PP7 was the first defensive back to win the award since Charles Woodson won it in 1997.

Peterson, who never fails to come up with a great quote, said in his acceptance speech that he knew a Tiger had to win in it. Auburn's Nick Fairley and Clemson's Da'Quan Bowers were the other nominees, both teams playing on teams who's team mascot is a Tiger.

LSU head coach Les Miles was in Orlando to support Peterson at the awards show. Auburn's Cameron Newton also won multiple awards tonight, including the Maxwell Award for the nation's best all-around player.

Hide ya kids, Hide ya wife people, PP7 lived up to his preseason hype.

Three Things to Look For -- LSU vs Tennessee Prediction

LSU is 1-8 over the last two years on CBS.

The LSU Tigers take on the Tennessee Volunteers Saturday at 2:30 p.m. The Volunteers come into Baton Rouge with a 2-2 record under first year head coach Derek Dooley.

LSU Football has been receiving much national attention through the superhuman efforts of Patrick Peterson so far this year. His "Swag" and ability to take the ball to the house every time he touches it had Tiger Stadium going into a frenzy in the victory versus West Virginia.

If Tennessee special teams coach Eric Russell wants to keep his job, he must tell his punter to not kick the ball remotely in Peterson's region. Since "PP7" said he doesn't want to call fair catch any more this season, I wouldn't be surprised if Mike the Tiger has a better chance of taking one back.

Outside of the special teams play, here are three more things to keep an eye on Saturday...

Atlanta -- The Bayou Bengals are, once again, crowned the cardiac cats of college football.

LSU was controlling the pace of the game. Everything was going right for Les Miles because LSU was playing better in areas they were weak last season.

The defense forced turnovers, offense generated explosive plays down the field and special teams found a return man that will replace Trindon Holliday in Patrick Peterson.

But the most interesting unit of the night must go to the defense. LSU defensive coordinator John Chavis was dialing up a masterpiece of plays against the Tar Heels.

All turnovers by the Tar Heels were a result of "The Cheif" mixing up his sets before the play even began. LSU played their base 4-3 package early, but mixed it up as the game moved along to more Nickel and Dime packages.
