Henderson Believes Criticism of Miles is Unfair

Carter "The Power" Bryant Thursday, August 19, 2010 , , , , ,
Metairie, La. -- Saints wide receiver and former LSU standout Devery Henderson believes criticism of LSU head coach Les Miles is unjust.

"It really is not fair. It's important to be mindful of the situation," said Henderson. "The LSU atmosphere really hurts him (Miles)."

Henderson stressed LSU fans love for the game, but also said it's important to remember that winning isn't an easy thing in a tough conference.

When asked about what he thinks about the Bayou Bengals this season, Henderson believes Jordan Jefferson will play a huge role.

"The QB (Jefferson) is up and coming. If he has a good year, the Tigers will be fine," said Henderson.

Soon after, Henderson mentioned if the team as a whole competes every game, the Tigers will be successful.

Henderson has shined during Training Camp, and will look to improve after helping the Saints win their first Super Bowl in franchise history. Henderson caught 51 balls for 804 yards and 2 touchdowns last season.
